is there any way to learn bio-feedback without the machine, therapist or bills?
I’ve been studying biofeedback as a possibility to get past my migranes lately; but it looks like the nearest office is 2 hours away from my house; I’m a full time student with a part time job and I don’t think I can afford the time or money…is there any way that I can just learn how to do it alone, read a book, listen to a cd…something like that? Thanks!
No. You can’t just do it at home.
Biofeedback means that you need feedback on internal body or brain functioning. Most kinds of biofeedback require a machine. In your case, I’m guessing but they’re possibly using EEG. The equipment is very expensive, and requires a high level of expertise to set up and run.
If the problem gets severe enough, you’ll find the time.
In the meantime, pain management techniques, meditation, and exercise (as well as medication) are all possible solutions.
When do I think of working again after treatment for P.T.S.D.?
I have P.T.S.D. from a work related incident working for the federal government (customs) involving disarming two felons with three guns. I refused to accept that I had P.T.S.D. and stayed at work until I screwed up because of foggy reasoning resulting in disciplinary action (that’s yet to be detirmined until I come back). It’s affected mostly my sleep and have been going to a biofeedback specialist through W.S.I.B. I feel better but I am worried that I will mess up once again because I don’t know if it’s up to me to detirmine when I come back or is up to the biofeedback psychologist?
It would be unwise to return to work too soon and the nature of your work requires clear reasoning powers. When you return should be determined by joint decision between you and your psychologist. Speak to your psychologist about this and find out from HR what the proper pocedure is for a return-to-work.
Can a person peer through an (apparently invisible) friend or object under hypnosis?

I’ve heard that it’s possible to hypnotize a person into believing that a friend or object in the room is invisible. And that they can actually “peer through” the object or friend and see or even read something behind it!!? I’ve already read a comment by someone who has rubbished the idea…but since our life experience is apparently a holograph including our own bodies…it seems this just might be possible….can anyone shed light on this fascinating myth?
Can they see through a person or object? NO.
Can they be made to believe they can see through a person/object and either invent or remember what they’re “seeing” on the other side? YES.
