Astral Projection Stories

Astral projection?? How can I do it?? Anyone else try it?

I want to try astral projection but I don’t know how can someone help me?? Or tell me stories if they did??
I’d like to hear stories too so if you have ANY please tell!! Thank you.

First you must be still being very comfortable.
Try chanting the same thing again and again.
What you chant depends on who you are.
Meditation is an aid in astral projects.

Do this for 30 minutes or so
Then see yourself stepping into your third eye and just sitting there at first and then see in your minds eye yourself being another place.

Can you do it, sure.
I have been doing it most of my life.
Fear will hold you in your body.

Best wishes

Is Stress Reduction Meditation Even Possible?

Is it even possible to do stress reduction meditation in a fast paced society where taking two twenty minute breaks to sit quietly and chant a mantra could cost you your job?

While it may not be possible to do Transcendental Meditation as described above on the job, I do believe it is very possible to weave stress reduction meditation thoughts through the course of your day.

I have watched folks in the addictions recovery community train themselves to create thoughts to gratitude or say the Serenity Prayer to themselves or out loud to change their feelings from overwhelm to calm.

Prior to learning tools like the above, the one thing that always worked to make them feel good was a substance, but as I heard an anger management client say yesterday, one beer is never enough.

Learning to weave thoughts of gratitude through the fabric of their thinking and to really feel the change in physiology that follows that is seen as gift.

Relief from stress is just a thought away, and when you couple that with deep breathing, stress reduction can be available anytime anyplace. By the way, I am a great fan of being able to change my internal physiology when involved in a session or a whenever I want, so gratitude thoughts, deep breathing, the Serenity Prayer, appreciating nature, heart rate variability biofeedback, and Open Focus, described below, are very useful to me.

There are a couple of tools that I think are very useful in the awareness of stress and the change the thought to change the feeling equation, and the first of those is Open Focus by Les Fehmi, Ph.D., who has recently written a book; The Open Focus Brain.

“From Publishers WeeklyA longtime clinician and researcher in biofeedback, Fehmi (with the assistance of science writer Robbins, author of A Symphony in the Brain) advances his program for learning to relieve stress by attaining what he calls open focus—a more diffuse, flexible form of attention that, paradoxically, allows one to focus better and in a more relaxed way. According to Fehmi, most of us habitually operate in a narrow-focus stress mode that results in anxiety and a host of physical problems, including digestive upsets, rashes and migraines. Fehmi draws on his experience with neurofeedback (brain-wave biofeedback) to explain how we can shift our brain waves to attain open focus. These mental techniques help you to experience your body and even your heart in a new way and change how you perceive the space around you. Fehmi grounds his plan in research and patient anecdotes showing the techniques can reduce pain and improve relationships and athletic performance. Fehmi acknowledges the results of open focus are similar to those from meditation, but even readers skeptical of Eastern spirituality may find Fehmi’s science-based program useful. (The accompanying audio CD was not heard by PW). (July 10)

I came across Fehmi’s Open Focus work in the early 1990′s when I read a book called Mega-Brain, and I decided to try it out, bought the cassettes, which I still have, and still use with clients. Once you get a feel for Open Focus you can remind your self of it any time you want to and I guarentee you will know stress reduction meditation.

I often use Open Focus as a prelude to heart rate variability biofeedback training, which is the second of the two tools that I utilize frequently as a stress reduction meditation.

Heart rate variability biofeedback, which is actually called emWave now, is a computerized biofeedback tool that will teach you to control the time between heart beats. It is a simple process to learn, and once you are confident that you have it down, and you will feel the difference, you can cue the feel good physiology of heart rate variability biofeedback on any given heart beat.

So Open Focus, which deals with your cognitions and heart rate variability biofeedback, which is a physiological tool first, offer an unbeatable combination in my mind for an easily induced, brief, heart beat by heart beat or thought by thought stress reduction meditation.

If you learn them, I know you will be able to generate many ‘gratitude is the attitude’ thoughts, and the Serenity prayer will flow.

Lucid Dreaming Tips

lucid dreaming tips
Any ideas and tips about Lucid Dreaming?

Do u guys have any ideas how to lucid dream? U know.. Have the kind of dream u want and knowing that ur dreaming. Ideas plz
How can I lucid dream? Do I write down something or something else? Please tell me

Many methods have been developed to become aware you are dreaming, but they all boil down to two general techniques; becoming aware once you are already dreaming, (DILD or Dream Initiated Lucid Dream,) and hanging onto a thread of consciousness while falling asleep, (WILD or Wake Initiated Lucid Dream.) DILD is the easier technique and recommended for beginners; WILD is more advanced and takes some practice to develop; however, it can be very rewarding, once mastered.

To start, it helps to keep a dream journal so you can both develop recall (you want to be able to remember any lucid dreams that you have) and to recognize your own particular frequent dream elements, called dream signs.

DILD involves recognizing Dream Signs from your journal – situations, people and things that commonly occur in your dreams, and practicing doing Reality Checks (RCs) any time you encounter those Dream Signs while you are awake. Reality Checks are simply ways to determine if you are dreaming or awake. Common reality checks include pinching your nose and seeing if you can still breathe through it, trying to poke a finger through the palm of your hand, or even simply looking at your hand and counting your fingers–surprisingly, the number will be wrong in most dreams! Do RC’s as often as possible during the day. The hope is that you will eventually recognize a Dream Sign while dreaming and do a Reality Check – and viola! You will be in your own private, wonderful world of dreaming, where literally anything is possible.

One useful technique to enhance the chances of getting lucid is Wake Back To Bed (WBTB). This is simply waking up at some point during the night, usually after at least a few hours of sound sleep, and staying awake for a time while engaging your mind to get it to “wake up” a bit. The amount of time this takes varies from person to person; you don’t want to be so awake that you have trouble getting back to sleep, but you do want to have your awareness sharpened a bit. While awake, you should think about dreaming, focus on what you want to do in your dream, and do frequent reality checks. Doing WBTB will dramatically enhance your chances of having a Lucid Dream.

Lucid dreaming is great fun, and can be enjoyed by most people with a little bit of effort. To learn more about various techniques, check out the resources here: http://mortalmist.com/lucidguide.html

Binaural Beat Concentration

binaural beats, where should i get them?

Hey, i’ve been reading up about binaural beats and i managed to find a few iphone apps with them on, although not to a huge amount of success. I’m thinking that they’re not of a high enough quality to work, is this true? And also if it is, where would be the best place to find binaural beats that actually work and hopefully aren’t too expensive either? I’m looking for some sleep and concentration/creativity beats in particular.

Thanks :)

It is very important to choose the ones that you enjoy listening to. The effects will start after about 8 minutes, and it would be good to listen to the recording regularly, and enjoying the sound really helps. http://www.mind-sync.com/ offers their binaural beats as pure tones, while http://www.store.unexplainable.net/ offers binaural beats with a background sounds, and on http://www.astrobinaural.com/ that I like the most, you can choose every combination of desired effect and background sound, or without background sound, and the beats are made according to your natal chart to suit you the most. Try some samples that they all offer and enjoy. :)
