Brain waves such as theta, delta, beta, or alpha waves; are they electromagnetic waves?
I’m talking about the ones that can be read by instruments, not the chemical signals within the body.
If they are electromagnetic, are they higher or lower frequency than visible light?
I believe rather than electromagnetic, they are solely electric pulses, and they get the name waves as such because they are pulses.

hypnosis license I have to babysit until 11pm 30 minutes away in a few days. How can I stay awake on the way home?
What are some things I can do BEFORE I drive and during the drive to keep me awake? I have only had my licence for a year and a half and still am not the most comfortable driver. Plus I am tired as soon as the sun goes down…Also, most of the drive is on the highway, and I get Highway hypnosis really easy. I got it when I drove at 12am on a short street! I think it will help that this road has lights and other cars though….But what can I do? I can’t back out and I can’t ask my mom to drive me…
Drink some caffeine – you only need a little if you’re not a big soda or coffee drinker. Also, open the windows, listen to music you know so you can sing along. Make sure you are checking your mirrors periodically. If you have a hands-free phone, call a friend.
I had a strange dream last night. I was in some sort of office building, and all of a sudden I had blood pouring from my face and mouth. I “passed out” in my dream on the floor of the office, and I “woke” to an EMT putting an oxygen mask on my face (in my dream). When I “awoke”(in my dream), I gasped for air…like this really huge inhale and then I “passed out” (in my dream) again. Then I woke up in my dream once more, and continued on with the storyline of my dream (it was pretty complex). It was a lucid dream so I could control what was happening.
Do you think there is a possibility that I actually stopped breathing during this certain part, and gasped for air in real life as well as my dream?
Probably not, at least not to that extent. You might have slowed down your real breathing, but if you had held your real breath, then you would have woken up. Your body is set up that way so that you can wake up and deal with whatever is obstructing your breathing rather than dying of lack of oxygen.
I tried to hold my breath for a long time while running through smoke while in a lucid dream some time ago. It worked, but I didn’t wake up, and I could “sense” that my real body was ok and not lacking oxygen. I held my breath for probably a minute, so I would sure have woken up or lost consciousness and REM sleep if I had held my real breath for that long. However, it’s plausible that our breathing slows down when holding our breath in a (lucid) dream.
