Biofeedback Cds

biofeedback cds
How much would it cost to get my brain waves measured while listenign to binaural beat CDs?

I bought Bill Harris’ Centerpointe Holosync CD maybe 5 years ago or so. I had an experience once or twice where I felt really peaceful for the next day or 2, but other than that nothing. So I gave up on it. The CD is called Awakening Prologue, which is Holosync’s beginning level (there’s like 12 levels I think, each supposedly more powerful than the last).

The CD is supposed to change your brainwaves so that they’re the same as a person who is in deep meditation, and only is able to get that far after maybe decades of meditating, while the CD is supposed to do it in minutes. Bill Harris says that there comes a point where one level has done all it’s going to do for you, and then you need to go to the next level. Maybe that’s what happened with me and the beginner’s level?

But before I buy the next CD from him, I want to make sure that it changes my brainwaves like it’s supposed to. Would a biofeedback place do this or someplace like that? And how much would it cost?

there is a visual tool for analyzing bio-signals in real . It can be used with any bio-feedback device that has ability to send bio data to computer. It’s called BioEra,plus you can download a free version of it,BioEra GPL is free licensed under he GNU General Public License (GPL), as published by the Free Software Foundation (FSF).

The FOUR main BRAIN STATES as measured by EEG…
BETA, ALPHA, THETA and DELTA.
Each frequency has a characteristic blueprint-and produces a distinctive state of consciousness.
BETA waves (14 cycles per-second and above) dominate the normal waking state of consciousness when-attention is directed towards the outside world.
ALPHA waves (8-13 cycles-per second) are present during dreaming and light meditation when the eyes-are closed.
THETA waves (4-7 cycles per second) occur in sleep and are-dominate in the highest state of mediation.
DELTA waves (.5 to 3 cycles per second) are experienced in deep meditation and deep-sleep.

——-
Binaural beats are auditory brainstem responses which originate in the superior olivary nucleus of each hemisphere. They result from the interaction of two different auditory impulses, originating in opposite ears, below 1000 Hz and which differ in frequency between one and 30 HzFor example, if a pure tone of 400 Hz is presented to the right ear and a pure tone of 410 Hz is presented simultaneously to the left ear, an amplitude modulated standing wave of 10 Hz, the difference between the two tones, is experienced as the two wave forms mesh in and out of phase within the superior olivary nuclei. This binaural beat is not heard in the ordinary sense of the word (the human range of hearing is from 20-20,000 Hz). It is perceived as an auditory beat and theoretically can be used to entrain specific neural rhythms through the frequency-following response (FFR)–the tendency for cortical potentials to entrain to or resonate at the frequency of an external stimulus. Thus, it is theoretically possible to utilize a specific binaural-beat frequency as a consciousness management technique to entrain a specific cortical rhythm.

Raynaud’s Biofeedback

Top 7 Conditions to Get Heal With Biofeedback

The biofeedback industry was born. Today several thousand certified biofeedback therapists teach the technique to tens of thousands of people with dozens of ailments. Thousands more people learn biofeedback themselves using small home devices and the instruction books that come with them. Biofeedback is not a cure-all, but it helps to treat all the stress-related health problems. Here are some of the conditions that biofeedback can help.

1. Chronic Pain

Chronic pain and anxiety form a vicious cycle. The pain causes anxiety, which lowers the pain threshold. Biofeedback relieves anxiety, which raises the pain threshold and helps control chronic pain. In addition, a good deal of back pain results from muscle tension up and down the back. Biofeedback can teach people to relax all the muscles from the neck to the buttocks. Biofeedback is also useful in treating shortness of breath due to congestive heart failure as well as vaginismus (vaginal muscle contraction that makes intercourse painful or impossible) and other conditions. It is also helpful during stroke rehabilitation and artificial limb training – situations that require people to relearn the use of certain muscles.

2. Headaches

Biofeedback is one of the most effective treatments for migraine and tension headaches. With sensors placed on the head and neck, people who regularly have tension headaches become more aware of their tense spots and are better able to relax them. Migraines are believed to involve unnatural expansion and constriction of certain blood vessels in the brain. Biofeedback can teach people who often have migraines to correct this. And while biofeedback is not a cure for all headaches, you may improve your current conditions by 50 to 80 percent.

3. Raynaud’s Disease

This common condition involves the constriction of blood vessels in the fingers (and sometimes toe), that leads to cold extremities and painful extremities in cold weather. Most people given biofeedback instruction that teaches them to control their circulation reduce their discomfort by at least two-thirds.

4. Anxiety

Biofeedback teaches people to relax deeply. In that regard, it is similar to meditation and visualization and is often used in conjunction with visualization exercises. It is certainly possible to learn to relax without biofeedback, but many people are so stressed and so out of touch with their bodies that they truly don’t know how to relax, and when they do, they can’t recognize it. With biofeedback, you simply look at the monitor and you can see yourself relax.

5. Diabetes

Many people with diabetes experience circulatory impairment in the feet and legs, which sometimes necessitates amputation of a toe, foot or limb. Biofeedback can apparently help with a key problem for people with diabetes – keeping their blood sugar (glucose) under control. Under stress we all pump glucose into the blood. Our muscles need it to react to whatever stress there is. People with diabetes, though, cannot produce enough insulin to get glucose to the cells that need it, so they have higher blood glucose levels under stressful conditions – not an ideal situation. Worse, the stress hormones released during a stressful event can make whatever insulin is present less efficient. People with diabetes who learn to relax with biofeedback, however, can reduce their blood glucose levels. People doing biofeedback experienced lower stress and glucose levels when compared with untrained people. Consistent stress levels as well as peak responses to stressful events can be lowered. You are also able to shorten the length of your stress response.

6. TMJ Syndrome

The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is near the ear and connects the jaw to the skull. Thousands of people experience TMJ pain, which has several possible causes, among them chronic tension in the jaw muscle. It was believed that in tension-related TMJ syndrome, biofeedback provides effective long-term relief.

7. High Blood Pressure

Some of the original biofeedback studies show that the technique could teach laboratory animals to raise or lower their blood pressure. Many people use biofeedback to help control mild to moderate high blood pressure.

Hypnosis Products

Hypnosis For Weight Loss-what is it and how does it work?

have you ever tried it before. If so, what did you have to do?
Please just give me detailed answers, NOT links to websites were I could buy products.

Thank You

My wife is a hypnotherapist and has successfully treated several clients for weight loss. She will talk to them quietly and get them to talk to their inner self whilst under a mild hypnosis – this makes them not need to keep eating when they are not hungry. The hypnosis is nothing like the thing you see on stage acts and you are aware of everything that is going on – you will never be in a trance that you cannot control. Try it – it may work for you.
